7 COSMIC HANDS
Recently I finished 7 hands illustrations, done each one in a day of the week. These hands are rendered as a cosmos symbolizing a more sensorial touch with our energies and contains as well elements and symbols from different cultures, connecting spiritualism, alchemy and astrology.
Every illustration has been painted with acrylic on 300gr Archer paper, 21 x 29,7 cm.
Zodiac, eternal transition
In this hand it is illustrated the Zodiac transition and is pointing to a divinity circle, this illustration depicts the completion of cycles, transition, potential, and a never ending movement toward self-realization. It symbolizes the natural order and the progression that inspires us to move on.
Vegvísir, a path to a change
This one illustrates 2 Viking symbols, The Troll cross, which is a symbol of protection and The Vegvisír, symbol of protection and spiritual guidance, meaning a “wayfinder” in Icelandic language. The Hand is pointing to a third symbol, Mercury, which in alchemy reflects both the omnipresent life force and a state that could transcend Earth. This illustration is a talisman of protection and guidance on our way in the life.
hand of mysteries
This hand is the alchemical symbol of apotheosis and transformation. The hand is said to hold the keys to divinity and is used as an invitation to discover the "great secrets" which in my opinión are the ones lock in our inner self, and that we need to unlock to evolve and rediscover our real potential.
Connection with the elements
The natural elements and their transformations are important components in the philosophy, astrology and alchemy of different cultures. Being in complete harmony and compression of the elements is a way of channeling our inner self.
This hand means the power of understanding of our surroundings to understand ourselves.
Wisdom, power and health
This hand is a symbol of spiritual balance and awareness.
Some ancient cultures cosidered that snakes represented spiritual strength, were conceived as the growth and were related with fertility.
The spiritual meaning of snakes is related to wisdom, power and health.
Omniscience and omnipotence, delusion
Believing you know everything, a totalitarian knowledge, is an indication to the contrary. It is like a rope that ties us to a false idea and don’t let us to know more. Omniscience and omnipotence are contradictory and a delusion.

Keys have been used as a symbol of authority and power for ages in many societies and ceremonies around the world. A key is an strong symbol of freedom, liberation, trust, mistery, love and opener to a deeper awareness.
