GEOMETRIC NATURE #4

Ferrol, Galicia. Spain

Recently I’ve been commissioned by Hotel Valencia in Ferrol to paint this mural.

This work draws its essence from the geometric beauty inherent in nature, particularly that found along the coastline. It serves as a vibrant exploration of the intricate patterns and shapes evident in this environment. The design celebrates the stunning interplay of lines, curves, and angles across various scales, from the spirals of seashells that showcase mathematical precision in organic growth to the delicate structures formed in beach sand by the rhythmic motion of the sea.

Each element of the mural captures this relationship, illustrating how these natural forms can inspire visual storytelling.

The curves mimic the ebb and flow of waves, fluid and graceful, creating a visual rhythm that reminiscent of water lapping against the shore. And the warm tones of sandy beige, deep blues, and soft greens come together to reflect the vibrant palette of the coast. The rich hues evoke the warmth of sunlight on the beach and the tranquil essence of a seaside retreat. This harmonious blend of colors and forms celebrates the timeless beauty of coastal environments, inviting an appreciation for the intricate interplay between land and sea.
