Antequera, Malaga.
A mural celebrating the fluidity of water.
Last May I was commissioned to paint a mural in Antequera, Malaga, to transform and to breathe life into a grey and desolate space.
For this mural I embarked on a transformative project that allowed me to delve into the mesmerizing interplay of the movement in the water of a swimming pool, punctuated by its enchanting reflections. Drawing inspiration from the captivating dance of the water, accentuated by its reflections, I created this artwork as part of my series, "Geometric Nature."
Capturing the very essence of fluidity and motion, my mural serves as an ode to the graceful rhythm with which water embraces its surroundings. With meticulous attention to detail, I sought to harness the power of geometric forms, considering to evoke a sense of depth, movement, and tranquility, delicately interwoven with vibrant hues - the rippling blues and teals, the soft shades of aquamarine - to recreate the harmony and unyielding energy present within this aquatic marvel.
Simultaneously, the warm oranges and yellows tones are coming from the reflections of a floating object, that paint a captivating contrast against the serene backdrop, adding a touch of vibrancy and intrigue. Within this mural, carefully considered hues and meticulously placed forms converge in a flawless representation of the fluidity that mirrors water constant motion.
This work, with each form and each composition of vibrant color, is a testament to how it can be encapsulate the ethereal beauty of nature, the ever-changing patterns, and the tranquility amidst movement in the water.
