DISIR NFT COLLECTION

I am Happy to announce the drop of my first NFT collection, inspired of my series of paintings Disir.

Recently I’ve been invited to be part of NFT Street Art Collective, platform that host artists coming strong together to make the move to green NFTs.

The Store is hosted on Mintbase which operate with Near Protocol, one of the most sustainable cryptocurrencies, Near was certified carbon neutral in February 2021 by South Pole, a leading low-carbon project developer, and climate solutions provider. This was due to NEAR offsetting its first year’s emissions through documented, verifiable, tree planting and reducing subsequent emissions. The foundation uses a measurement method that includes direct and indirect emissions associated with the network. This includes electricity used to power the network, purchased hardware and cloud services, and even emissions associated with travel and teleworking by the NEAR team.

DISIR NFT COLLECTION

This NFT collection is inspired by the "Dísir" from the Norse Mythology. The Dísir were female divinities, often portrayed as being tutelary (guardian) spirits of a particular person, group, or location. Little is known with certainty about the Dísir, Many stories show them as defenders of people and Gods, showing themselves to them when they need advice, in imminent danger and trying to dissuade or warn them. In my opinion nowadays, Dísir can be every mother or woman around the world, from different countries or cultures that protects an idea or people... or are like a knowledge or warning charm.

I created 3 portrait in honor of this ancestral anonymous group of protector female spirits. These paintings are the creation of 3 new "Dísir", they are wearing a mask as symbol, more than to conceal a single recognized identity; Also with the hair rendered as a cosmos, like the immensity of possibilities.
